Mara did her doctoral research at King’s College London on scientific advisory bodies and norm diffusion in international environmental law and the law of the sea. She has a background in both environmental and marine sciences and public international law.
As a postdoctoral researcher at the Copernicus Institute for Sustainable Development, she analyzes opportunities for institutional reforms and legalization of global sustainability governance for the GLOBALGOALS project.
