Dr Marjanneke Vijge is an assistant professor with the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University. Her current research focuses on policy coherence around climate and food security governance in developing countries, focusing on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and climate goals. Marjanneke has a broad range of expertise in multilevel sustainability governance with a specific focus on developing countries. Her research has covered the governance of climate, forests, REDD+, extractive industries, and agriculture, ranging from international negotiations to on-the-ground projects in developing countries. She has done research in India, Kenya, Indonesia and Myanmar, and worked with different UN agencies in Europe, Africa and Asia.
