Assistant Professor

Dr Rakhyun E. Kim is assistant professor of Global Environmental Governance with the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University. He is an interdisciplinary scholar with a particular interest in the application of complex systems and network approaches to understanding the large-scale architectures of international environmental law and governance. He has been active in the Earth System Governance Project in various capacities (e.g., scientific coordinator of Task Force on Earth System Law), and served as Lead Author of UNEP’s sixth Global Environment Outlook. In GLOBALGOALS, Kim plays a central role in the network analysis module and on the question of ecological integrity.
