MSc Student

Anne Luijten is a student at Utrecht University studying the MSc Sustainable Development, Earth System Governance track. For her thesis she researches SDG 10: reduced inequality. The research is threefold. The first part will consist of a negotiation analysis: through discourse network analysis she will look at the actors, conflicts, and coalitions that resulted in the inclusion of this goal in the SDGs. Secondly, she will perform a regression analysis comparing country development level with progress on SDG 10. Lastly, she will use the Netherlands as a case-study to research which policies have been put in place specifically to achieve this goal, in this way assessing the steering effects of SDG 10.
