Kenneth Abbott is a leading scholar in international law, specializing in the interdisciplinary study of international law and international relations, including public and private institutions, environmental issues, development policy, global health, and international trade and economic law. At Arizona State University, Abbott is the Jack E. Brown Professor of Law at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law; the faculty co-director of the Center for Law and Global Affairs; a professor at the School of Politics and Global Studies; and a senior sustainability scholar with the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability; among others. In 2017, he received the inaugural Distinguished Scholar Award from the International Law Section of the International Studies Association.
